Inn On The River

Amazing staff and stay! The room was very cute and clean. The location is the best being directly on the river and walking distance to everything in town. The homemade breakfast every morning was amazing. So convenient that there is a restaurant and bar on site that makes great cocktails. Owner and staff were very accommodating to request and needs. Looking forward to returning.

Innkeeper was friendly, helpful, and served up an awesome dish of parmesan mushroom baked eggs for breakfast. Service was good. Location was perfect for my agenda. Dining room and building in general were good representatives of the 1920s-1930s arts and crafts style. The biggest negative was musty old smell from carpet on the stairs and, to a lesser degree in my room. Bed was comfortable and all of the facilities were in good order. The large, thick towels were a really nice touch. This was a really pleasant stay and felt more like a BnB than a hotel.

We had a nice relaxing stay at Inn on the River, cozy comfy bed, great food at Snyder's, a sweet dog to pet, beautiful trees to relax under, quiet and pleasant! We were also glad there weren't TV's in the rooms or the lobby. We were more engaged with other patrons and the owner by not watching the tube and had some great conversations!

We had a wonderful time staying at this B&B! Everything from the location, the rooms, the service, the food at the tavern, the views, was perfect. We got the suite with two rooms and it was plenty of space for four people and two dogs. Which they were also very accommodating of; I appreciate how welcoming they are of pets as this eases the hurdles and anxiety of traveling with them. Overall a great experience, a beautiful spot, and I will definitely recommend and come back!

I had an absolute wonderful stay here. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was very peaceful sitting on the back lawn looking down over the river. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Will certainly be back!

My wife and I try to stay here twice a year - once in the spring and once in the fall. The property is always in lovely condition, staff is always friendly, and the four-legged staff are even friendlier. The food at Snyder's is delicious. The complimentary breakfast is something to look forward too as well. Hard to beat sitting in the chairs by the river! Looking forward to our next visit in the spring :)

Stayed here in March for a retreat and I am completely plant based (vegan) and the owner made sure I had amazing meals. I was told they regularly serve vegans and have these items available for non organized events. The rooms were nice and the location was amazing and most importantly calm and relaxing. I would take regular walks along the river and enjoy the scenery. Traveling with my dietary restrictions is difficult and usually bland. The food here was some of the best plant based food I have had in the US. She took it as a challenge to make me amazing items. The service here was top notch.

This hotel experience was like slipping back into time when life was simpler and quieter. We stayed in a room with a king size bed that was so comfortable and beautiful. The views of the River are beautiful and tranquil with ducks and geese swimming and playing in the water. The hotel has all the character you expect of a home built in 1919. The owners were extremely accommodating loaning us a USB power brick to charge our phones in the room. There are all kinds of fun games inside and outdoors as well as puzzles and books. And finally, the room includes a gourmet breakfast that would easily be $20 or more per person. The owner, who is also a chef prepared Parmesan, asparagus, bourbon maple bacon egg bake along with whipped cream cheese toast served with a black berry jelly compote that was extraordinary. It was a spur of the moment trip that turned out to be an absolute delight. We will definitely be back to explore more of Glen Rose and will definitely be staying there again.
